2024 Real Estate Photography Equipment Guide

Our favorite gear picks for real estate photography in 2024.

CANON

Author’s Note: In the past, Canon DSLRs suffered from poor dynamic range but since then Canon cameras sensors got much better than in the past. I highly recommend buying a Canon camera if you already have existing EF glass or like the look of the Canon colors. In addition to this, the Canon camera system is highly adaptable and versatile.

Canon R7

As the current flagship APS-C Canon body, the Canon R7 is an all-in-one package. Its combination of high resolution, advanced autofocus, versatile touchscreen, IBIS and 4K video capability makes it a reliable and versatile choice for real estate photography.

When paired with the newly introduced RFS 10-18mm lens, it forms an exceptional and affordable package tailored for real estate photography enthusiasts.

Canon EOS RP

The Canon R7 stands out as an excellent entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera, offering a compelling choice for photographers entering the realm of professional-grade equipment.

Its versatility is notable, making it well-suited for adapting existing Canon EF glass or seamlessly pairing with the new and budget-friendly RF 15-30mm lens. While positioned at a more accessible price point than its counterpart, the R8, the Canon R7 does not compromise on functionality.

Particularly adept at real estate photography, it proves to be a reliable choice for tripod-based shooting scenarios.
