About Us

Finca Academy began with a belief that everyone needs support. As professional photographers, we all started as beginners who were working to get our businesses off the ground. Created by award-winning photographers, Arturo+Lauren, our purpose is driven by our desire to help other photographers make a living out of doing what they love.

Founders

  • Hi, I’m Lauren, 1/2 of Arturo+Lauren and founder of Shifter Academy. Aside from being a photographer, I’m also a Marketer / Proud Hong Kong Native/ Foodie / and Entrepreneur.

    I spent years working on my craft growing my photography business and learning a lot (through failure). These experiences brought me to where I am today. While I don’t regret experiencing it, I wish I had someone who could’ve guided me when I was on my journey. I realize a lot of us are building our businesses by ourselves without the support and community and mentors that could help us reach the next level.

    That’s why I created Shifter Academy – to be a resource and one-stop-shop for photographers in the architecture, real estate, and interior space.


  • Hi I’m Arturo, the other 1/2 of Arturo+Lauren and founder of Shifter Academy.

    I started shooting in the architectural photography space 15 years ago and since then, my journey has brought me all around the world.

    When I started out, I wished I knew more things that I didn’t know, like scaling a business and getting new clients.

    That’s why we created Shifter Academy to be a resource for other creatives in this space.

Our mission is to create a valuable resource for architecture, interior, and real estate photographers so that they can thrive and built the photography business of their dreams.
